Our teacher on map reading was Geofray. We were divided into groups of four and we were given a map and a compass direction. One was supposed to place the map on a flat place and fix the compass on it. Then turn the paper until the magnetic North and the original north to face the same direction. The angle between them is called an angle of declination. The resulting North is called the True North.
We were told to go around the garden looking for some letter which is written on a metal plate and placed on a tree or the ground.going around was somehow tiresome since you could be looking for a letter in the forest which had blackjacks. The blackjacks could cover all over the body.
I was the one who could penetrate through all the bush and make a way for my group members. It was really a nice since it was somehow tricky and best in my life.
